The new center will leverage Telangana’s strong GCC, pharma, and AI talent base

US-based data science and AI solutions firm Tredence has announced the launch of a new AI innovation center in Hyderabad, aimed at expanding its operations in the city.

The new facility spanning over 20,000 sq ft seeks to strengthen the company’s capabilities in advanced analytics, generative AI, and applied artificial intelligence across sectors, including life sciences, healthcare, and others.

The new center will leverage Telangana’s strong GCC, pharma, and AI talent base, further strengthening Tredence’s long-term focus on the state as a key hub for enterprise AI delivery.

Commenting on the expansion, Sumit Mehra, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Tredence, said, "Hyderabad has become India's Life Sciences powerhouse and a top-tier destination for GCCs. Our expansion announcement represents a strategic investment in the city’s robust Data and AI talent landscape and as well as its rapidly evolving Retail, CPG, and consumer GCC ecosystem. Telangana's unique combination of top-tier academic institutions, a deep pool of skilled tech professionals, and strong retention and cost advantages has enabled us to rapidly scale our operations and build next-generation AI solutions for our global clients across Life Sciences, RCG, and beyond.”

Founded in 2013, Tredence focuses on combining deep domain expertise with data engineering, advanced analytics, and AI to solve complex business problems. The company’s client spans healthcare, life sciences, retail, CPG, etc.

The new center is expected to enhance collaboration with global clients while supporting partnerships with local academic and research institutions.

Currently, the company employs more than 400 professionals in Telangana and has outlined plans to scale this number significantly.

Welcoming the expansion initiative, Sridhar Babu, Telangana’s Minister for IT, Industries, and Commerce, said, "The expansion of Tredence in Hyderabad underscores the powerful synergy between global innovation and Telangana’s pro-growth policies. Our State continues to provide the ideal bedrock for data-driven enterprises to scale.”

“Tredence’s commitment to Telangana aligns completely with our 'Telangana Rising 2047' vision. Such investments boost high-value employment and further solidify our position as the preferred destination for AI-led growth across the Life Sciences and BFSI sectors,” he added.

The new expansion in Hyderabad comes amid broader investments by global capability centers (GCCs) and AI-driven enterprises across Telangana.

Further, the state has set a target to attract $25 billion in investments and generate five lakh jobs aimed at transforming Hyderabad into a "Laboratory of the Future", a global hub for innovation-led life sciences growth.

Referring to the new investments, the IT minister stated that French healthcare company Opella has announced fresh investment plans in the state, while US-based Tredence AI has signed an agreement to invest INR 300 crore.

The Telangana Minister further noted that Rx Propellant has proposed investments worth INR 1,000 crore.

In addition, several other companies have expressed interest in setting up or expanding operations in the state, a development expected to generate significant employment opportunities and strengthen the region’s healthcare and technology ecosystem.
